You don’t decide on your ultimate post-16 destination until you have your GCSE results in your hand. At Ysgol Emrys ap Iwan we run three sign up days after GCSE results day which are before the start of term. Staff are available at these times to discuss your options and ensure you choose the most appropriate courses for your future success. Should these days not be convenient you can sign up online or come into school at any point during term time.

Education Maintenance Allowance (EMA) is an income-assessed weekly allowance of £30 to help learners with the cost of further education. It is paid every two weeks directly into the learners bank account.
It provides young people, who wish to continue in education after school leaving age, with an incentive to earn awards through good attendance and achieving agreed objectives.
